Consciousness exists outside and beyond the human brain. Where can one look for the highest states? Are they in the brain? Who has found the still hidden secrets of nature in the human brain? Almost no one knows except those who have transcended into Godhead. Do we even know what our brain is and how it functions?  Only a few yogis have entered the ultimate reality to know this. What is the connection of physical brain to mind?  Are the highest states in the human mind? Beings on the astral and higher planes have the capability of instantly knowing what is happening anywhere on their plane or on any plane lower than theirs. How? Quantum and kundalini makes it possible.

Consciousness exists outside and beyond the human brain.

This is the plan of nature

Our scientific and materialistic culture fails to understand this plan of the ultimate reality. Humankind cannot understand the plan of the ultimate reality until it explores its spiritual core, its non-conscious psyche through the ancient road of religion, through the experience of kundalini.

There lies the secret of the brain, the chi, vitality, the joining of physical and psyche. Without the connection to Spirit, humans wildly pursue many addictions. Humans indulge in a hurried pace to nowhere, an empty flurry of wasted busyness to satisfy the urge to be completed spiritually. To be satisfied, humans need contact with Spirit.

Almost all humans idle away their short time of life restlessly hurrying and worrying about trivial pursuits. This leads to emotional and physical exhaustion. This leads to cultural and group stagnation.

Many of us are ambitiously spending all our time in pursuit of necessities; clinging to material amenities, medical care, shelter, fashion clothing, and fuel for cooking prestigious food. We also crave frivolous status items, entertainment, cell phones, TV, household gadgets, and vacations. We are creating habitual tendencies of clinging, craving and sensual desire that cannot give a depth of meaning to our lives. We take these habits to the grave before they make us happy.

Then we die carrying the emptiness of these habits which led us to death after a meaningless short life. (Skidelsky and Skidelsky 2012) Now is the moment to realize that each individual human artibitratily invents the value of the ephemeral objects and Spiritual events. The value is determined to be whatever one perceives using free will. One could perceive no value in the life of the spirit because of the distractions of the life of material. One mentally invents too much value for material things and too little value for the non-physical Spirit. Each human has the probability of rising above ephemeral objects and events into the highest states of Being through free will.

What is the living vitality without which a body is a corpse? What is the origin of typical human behavior?

If we do not know how the brain and mind function, how they are nourished, how they communicate outside the five senses, and where do the flashes of genius come from, then we have no right to say that we are civilized humans. We are simply using life as a playground, an expression of power, or some trivial and temporary material condition which expires when we expire. Humans have the potential to rise, to evolve into the highest states.

For example, let’s return to Moses and the brass serpent. When the Israelites were complaining in the desert, they were not relying on faith. Instead, they depended on their egos. “And the people spake against God, and against Moses, saying, wherefore have ye brought us out of Egypt, to die in the wilderness, for here is neither bread nor water, and our soul loatheth this light bread.” (Number 21:5) This entire scene illustrates the physical life condition of the soul in the desert. It is a bondage of the ego travailing through the wilderness conditions and making it to the Promised Land, which symbolizes a heavenly awakening from the bondage of the ego. In other words, the Israelites were on a spiritual journey to shed the ego and experience the Promised Land, the spiritual resurrection.

So, God gave Moses a symbolic representation of what would alleviate them. It is the brazen snake on the pole “lifted up” (Numbers 21:9). In the narrative of Adam and Eve, the snake was cast down, but it must be lifted up, which is a symbol of the ego’s transformation. It restores the spiritual aspect of man’s soul.

The Scriptures contains many metaphors to represent the holy temple of our human body and brain. If the snake is upright, then it resembles the spinal cord, and the head of the snake would be the third-eye chakra which features the pineal gland.

The ancients understood it as a spiritual organ at the center of the brain. In deep meditation practices, the Kundalini spiritual energy rises through the spinal column and opens the seven chakras, which symbolize the seven churches of Revelation, along the spine until it reaches the pineal gland, symbolizing a spiritually resurrected individual.

This process can also be the serpent that transforms from the ego into the fully realized and awakened spiritual being. This experience raises the conscious awareness of an individual beyond the senses of the ego. It is one that ancient spiritual peoples—even the eadiest Christians—were cognizant of.

Jesus made two statements to confirm the meaning of spiritual resurrection: ‘And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so, must the Son of man be lifted up” (John 3:14) and “Remember, the kingdom of God is not outside of you, but it is ‘within- (Luke 17:21). Lifting up the Son of Man is another way of symbolizing the path to Christ consciousness, a state of being beyond the senses, emotions, and intellect.

Kundalini is a psycho-spiritual energy, the energy of the consciousness, which resides within the sleeping body. It is aroused through spiritual discipline to bring new states of consciousness, which include mystical illumination. Kundalini is a Sanskrit term for “serpent power because it is believed to lie like a serpent in the root chakra at the base of the spine.

The power of kundalini is immense. Those were having experienced it claim to have unusual physical sensations and movements, pain, clairaudience, visions, brilliant lights, psychical powers, ecstasy, bliss, and transcendence of self. Kundalini is an energy that functions as liquid fire and liquid light.

The Bible gave a description of how kundalini was a ‘flame” within, “And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau as stubble, and they shall kindle in them and devour them: and there shall be no remnant of the house of Esau: for the Lord hath spoken it.” (Obadiah 1:18).

Beyond these six Chakras at the upper termination of the spinal cord, is the thousand petalled lotus; the abode of Lord Shiva (supreme being). When the Kundalini Shakti unites itself with the supreme eing, the aspirant gets engrossed in deep meditation during which he perceives infinite bliss. This is a subtle centre in the brain. On activation of Sahastraar a very fine, elixir-like secretion is produced from it which permeates the whole body thus making the human forever free of all ailments. Sahastrar Chakra is also termed as Dasham Dwar of Brahmarandhara.

This Chakra is situated two inches deep inside both the temporal region and three inches deep from the midspot between the eyebrows that is in the middle portion of cerebral hemispheres. From the throat, it is located three inches above the palate and inside the brain it is located in a small hole above the ‘Maha Vivar’ foramen of cerebrum.

Awakening of Sahastrar renders the aspirant liberated from corporeal bondages and attachments. He is endowed with all kinds of divine attainments including ‘Ashta Siddhi’ and ‘Nava Nidhi’. He becomes an omniscient Yogi. Being emancipated from the cycles of birth and death, he certainly achieves the final beatitude.

One is fully enlightened and can then envision any event going on anywhere in the universe with out entering into Samadhi. All natural elements come under one’s control. The practice of awakening Kundalini Shakti must be done only under the guidance of a competent Guru.

Really, fortunate is the person who attains his divine Guru. That person is fortunate who strives for awakening of the Kundalini Shakti and only that person is called God-illumined who after activating his Kundalini Shakti, gets the totality of life.

Omniscience: Beings on the astral and higher planes have the capability of instantly knowing what is happening anywhere on their plane or on any plane lower than theirs. Thus a being on the mental plane, the plane known as the abode of saints and seers, will know instantly about any-thing happening anywhere on the mental, astral, or physical planes.

The quantum nature of beings belonging to the mental plane is more free of ego-pollution.

Thus God, who is higher than the highest imaginable plane, is, no doubt, fully omniscient. The degree of omniscience increases from the lowest plane upward in a gradual manner. This suggests that quantum objects are omniscient as well.

Identification: Each of us contains the soul’s infinite potential. But we are confined by our belief in the narrow limitations of the physical body, which most of us consider as our only reality.

Thus, our identification with the body limits us. While driving a car, we can move faster by utilizing the properties of the car. And when flying in an airplane, we move faster still, as we have aligned ourselves with the properties of the air-plane. If, however, we can identify with the Self within, or the soul, we can move with the speed of thought, because then, as souls, we have reunited with our quantum properties.

Utilizing a car or an airplane is easy, while identification with the soul is difficult, but not impossible.

This identification with soul is called “individuation” by Jung, “transformation” by Sri Aurobindo, and Self-realization by most saints and some orthodox religions.

Regardless of one’s spiritual faith or religion, the process of identification with soul awakens a sleeping power within the individual. Or perhaps it is correct to say that the awakening of this sleeping power brings identification with the soul. The most popular name for this sleeping power is kundalini. In the next section, we will explore various methods of transformation and be introduced to this power.

The dormant consciousness force of Sri Aurobindo or the residue of experiences of Jung is the kundalini of Tantra lying dormant in the root center called muladhara chakra.

The upward surge of the psychic force with the evolution of the world is the rising and ascension of the kundalini force in Tantra. As the psychic force in evolution passes through the physical, vital, mental, and supramental planes, the kundalini force passes through the various centers of energy, called chakras. It is important to note that, corresponding to the seven planes of the universe of Sri Aurobindo, there are also seven chakras through which kundalini has to pass.

They are the mooladhara, stvadhishthan, manipura, anahata, vishuddhi, ajna, and sahasrara chakras, in ascending order. Here, one can sec the truth of the statement, “as above, so below.”

There are seven planes in the universe, and there are seven chakras in the human body, from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. As kundalini rises from the first to the seventh center, the individual consciousness rises from the lowest physical plane to the highest plane of saccidananda.

Humans are a replica of the universe, and so the macro-process of the universe is also going on as a micro-process in the human body.

Since ancient times, the importance of “sacral vertebrae” has been emphasized in the practice of spirituality. Sacral vertebrae are related to the awakening of Kundalini in the bottom chakra. When the abundant life energy (Kundalini) is awakened, the energy starts to flow upward. However, to carry out the mystery of life, you have to start from “love” in the heart chakra. A very interesting rule in the universe is that, if you want to gain greater power, you have to “love,” or you’ll never enter the narrow door of eternal life.

After having gained this power, how will you use it? The universe is fair. If you want to use the power on yourself to become five candles that light up only yourself, the universe will give you the energy of five candles; if you want to light up 500 kilometers around you and become a 50,000-waft light, the universe will give you the electricity of 50,000 watts. It is not God’s differentiation, but your inner will.

The power provided by the universe dependents on how many people you want to light up. If a small power to take care of your family during your lifetime is what you want, you will be given that power. Making this decision has nothing to do with right or wrong, because God has no differentiation. Besides your family, if you want to serve more people, the universe will give you the power that you need. This is the mystery of love that expands from your heart chakra.
