Resurrection is possible only when you are capable of dying to the consciousness of the ego (the human condition) and being in union with God. Man must die/transform to his separate-self in order to experience his true Self in God. In essence the seed does not die, it evolves. Man does not die, he unfolds.
I must die, but when? I will meet God, but how? I will live in eternity, but where? If you die before you die, then when you die, you will not die. An interesting paradox. If you die,you become available to an infinite source of life. No one becomes as aware of God as the one who is thoroughly dead. There is but one immortal Self common in and to us all—that which remains untouched by the flight of time. When you die, death will disclose the mystery. Not the death that takes you to the dark grave, but the death whereby you are transmuted and enter into the Light.
Astrologers can help you understand With fine configurations traced in sand—You’ve seen one draw the heaven’s calendar And indicate each fixed and moving star, Set out the zodiac sign by mighty sign, The zenith of the sun and its decline—The complex forms that influence the earth, The house of mournful death, the house of birth, Which will enable him to calculate Your happiness, your grief, your final fate… Then brush the sand—and all that you have seen Has gone, as though the marks had never been. Such is the solid world we live in here, A subtle surface which will disappear.’
All that lives must die, passing through nature to eternity. One must realize that he is going to die. His body is going to decay. Although there is another kind of death, a voluntary death, not a natural death, not that of the body, but that of the mind. To conquer death you only have to die. The ego, the mind, must die and be resurrected, not as “I” but as “Thou.” What remains is the essence of your “Being.”
As long as you do not know How to die and come to life again, You are but a sorry traveler, On this dark earth (Goethe).
If you put all your trust in “I” and “me” You’ve chosen both worlds as your enemy—But if you transform the self, the darkest night Will be illuminated with your light.’
Dying/transforming before you die is dying to your separate-self (ego). The seed dies in order to experience itself as a tree or flower. Man must die/transform to his separate-self in order to experience his true Self in God. In essence the seed does not die, it evolves. Man does not die, he unfolds. While the seed lacks nothing, it is only the fruit that realizes that the seed lacks nothing. The breakthrough comes when the ego, the craving and desires of the mind, are overcome. He that over-cometh fear shall not be in fear of the second death. Fear is the mother of all evil.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear (1 John 4:18).
To him that overcometh I will give him eternal life that no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Man has received from heaven a soul, a nature innately good, to guide him in all his movements. By devotion to this divine spirit within himself, he attains the pure innocence that leads him to do right with instinctive sureness, and without any ulterior thought of reward and personal advantage. If you die to the ego—the separate-self, the mind, to all that was human—you become available to the infinite sources of existence. This breakthrough will appear to you like a death, because your present finite identity will be lost.
Who knoweth if to die Be but to live And that called life by mortals Be but death (Euripides).
When your present finite identity is lost, that which was always hidden within you but unrealized will come forth in all its splendrous glory.
Glorification means deification, resurrection and transformation. Resurrection and transformation to glorification and deification.
You will become aware that what existed in the past was like a dream, an illusion; and what is real is the resurrection of the present moment in God-consciousness—a rebirth to a non-conditional mode of Being where things decayed and loved ones lost in dreamy shadows rise. The birth that occurs is a Self-awakening. The soul is born again in God.
Resurrection is possible only when you are capable of dying to the consciousness of the ego (the human condition) and being in union with God.
Complete silence mirrors the existence of God. In that moment within the silence of one’s soul everything is achieved. You realize your nature perfectly. It is the face you had the day before yourgreat-grand father was born.
You do not identify with your separate-self, but with the whole world. Everything becomes you. This would be the death of the ego (separate-self) experience. You identify yourself with the consciousness of which your body is but the vihicle. Your true Self is now the whole world.
The breakthrough comes when the ego dies and the soul and the body are united in harmony with the laws of the natural order of the universe. When this happens one will not fear the natural death of the body. The body may come to an end, but consciousness does not.
Benjamin Franklin’s Epitaph The Body of B. Franklin, Printer, Like the cover of an old book, Its contents worn out, And stript of its lettering and gilding Lies here, Food for worms. But the work shall not be !cub For it will, as he believed, appear once more In a new and more elegant Edition Corrected and improved By the Author (Benjamin Franklin)
Nature has engraved herown image and that of her Author on all things. Through the death of the ego, immortality is achieved. Yourauthentic being will burst forth in all its glory. It was before you were born, it is here in the present moment, and it will be there after you die. Everything is possible when the mind becomes the humble servant of God and not its master. Your mind must accept, surrender, and totally submit to the will of God.
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all its righteousness; and all things shall be added untoyou (Matthew6:33)
