As a metaphor, we can think of the egoic structure, or the dream state, as the Earth. The dream state has a gravitational force; it has the tendency to pull consciousness into itself. This gravitational force is really what one is dealing with throughout the entirety of the spiritual journey. Awakening is breaking free of this gravitational force. Initially, it may simply be leaving the dream state, awakening from the dream state of “me” and separation and isolation. But because we’ve awakened does not mean that consciousness has gotten past the gravitational pull of the dream state. If we haven’t gone completely beyond this gravitational field, we’re going to be pulled back toward the experience of “me” and the perception of separateness.

Humans is said to be the most intelligent being and humans is the only species who invented their own prisons. This Mind Prison is kept in place through the The Three Knots of bondage and limitations. The mind prison is the result when everythings spiritual is turned off (real self, real reality and real knowledge).

The creation and limitation of subjective reality by imprint is the “bubble” – we are inside a bubble. It is a bubble into which we are placed at the moment of our birth. At first the bubble is open, but then it begins to close until it has sealed us in. That bubble is our perception, and this bubble becomes the enclosed Matrix humankind is trapped and then held as captivated.

We live inside that bubble all of our lives. Its like living in a matrix-bubble made of “robotized” beta brain waves reality.

One cannot evolve from one’s robothood until one realizes how totally one has been robotized.

The intellect works like some machine which constantly dissevers our awareness into an unending series of separate thoughts and sensations, and splits up our interior sense of being into comparatively minute measurements of years, months and days, thus rendering us the prisoners of time when we are, in reality, the children of eternity. Whatever it appre-hends is grasped under this limitation and through this instrumentality of time. It is important to understand that these disintegrated fragments are contained within the real self, are perceived and pervaded by the Overself-consciousness during every instant of the present, and that were it otherwise mankind could never become conscious of these differ-ences of thought and impression.

A new horizon is opened up to us when we understand this matter, when we perceive that a timeless existence, that is, an eternal existence, may be attained by the inward regulation of thought.

The error that man has made is believing that power is outside him

This error is easy to understand when you consider that man has been told a couple of huge lies that effectively removed him from a world that reflects the higher values of freedom, equality, love, and abundance that are natural to him. In exchange for mankind’s creative energy and enslavement, the Controllers provide him with more propaganda, and exploit him for their own gain. Instead of being the natural recipient of all the abundance due to every sentient being on Earth, man is told that he has to “work for a living” and “pay to live” on the earth.

Doesn’t this sound like the kind of propaganda that could support a system of slavery?

Knowledge and belief systems about gravity can limit the mind in science that binds the mind to matter, and science of yoga teaching how to advance, liberate, disentangle the gravitational forces from matter. Fear is like gravity, it pulls down life by suppressing belief systems and fear doctrines. Fear of death is what binds the mind to matter, in same way gravity binds matter to itself, and the ego-mind is the “fear generator” of death and the ego mind is also the “matter-generator” that attracts the mind to matter. And both fear and matter is controlled by low vibrational frequencies and this creates the Matrix Mind and entraps humankind within the Mind-Matrix.

There is a metaphor that can be used to describe the journey from nonabiding to abiding awakening: that of a rocket ship. A rocket ship takes a tremendous amount of thrust and a tremendous amount of energy both to get off the ground and then to break the gravitational field as it travels through the sky and ultimately into space.

If there is enough fuel in the rocket and it gets far enough away from the Earth, it can eventually get beyond the gravitational field of the planet. Once the rocket is beyond the gravitational field of the Earth, the Earth no longer has the power to pull it back down.

Using the metaphor of the rocket ship is a way of thinking about the process of awakening. The dissolution of the ego takes time. While the moment of awakening is a process that unfolds thereafter – the process of getting beyond the gravitional force of the dream state. This process, this greater individualization can override and shed one´s ego, and become a kind of superself that has the ability extend the individual consciousness beyond the constraints, into a form of communication with the Divine Consciousness or Universal Consciousness.

One fact continuously emerges of spiritual development, and that is, that the psychic powers, higher and lower, are hindrances to the highest spiritual state and must be left behind by the man who can function freed from the three worlds altogether. This is a hard lesson for the aspirant to grasp. He is apt to think that a tendency towards clairvoyance or clairaudience is indicative of progress and a sign that his practice of meditation is beginning to take effect. It might prove just the opposite and inevitably will, should the aspirant be attracted by, or attached to, any of these forms of psychic faculty.

As you believe something, you give it power; when you generate emotions around the thought, you enforce the object of your belief, gelling it, so to speak, into physical form. Even if you don’t consciously affirm/confirm a particular belief, if you don’t question or even are not aware of the underlying belief, it means that you implicitly believe in it and are part of the social agreement. When masses of people adhere to a collective belief, their consciousness has a collective creative effect.

If you are born into this system, you are educated into what is considered to be real by everyone around you, and you never come to see the cage of beliefs that surrounds you, nor do you understand your own participation and complicity in supporting the system. The Controllers very cleverly use the creative power of each individual by getting them to agree upon a system of belief that supports the Controllers who hold the puppet strings of the human collective.

They need the collective for its energetic mass—the reality that is created by consensual agreement. While there is certainly a personal reality system for every individual on Earth, the sheer pressure of the collective agreement makes it very hard for an individual to rise in vibration and attain his own personal freedom outside the collective agreement.

The subconscious will spare no tactic to protect you from any discomfort, and it will invoke some amazingly creative ways and go to extreme lengths to keep you in your comfort zone.

It is important to understand that the comfort zone is like a magnet … a gravitational force that doesn’t allow you to stray far away from your comfort zone without conscious and powerful effort. Like the rocket that needs a sustained powerful force to blast through the earth’s gravitational pull, a person must forcefully push against his or her usual thoughts and behavior and sustain that effort to break through his or her personal gravitational pull. But … AND HERE IS THE KEY … every person must do his or her own “pushing” to sustain achievements.

The bottom line is that conscious and unconscious efforts to resist change will undermine and sabotage the greatest of plans if proper attention is not given to supporting the change process from the very start.

Chariots of the Gods There are many sci-fi stories about a primitive people who worship a technologically advanced race from the cosmos as gods. We often identify with the gods in these stories, but we are, in fact, the primitive people who have mistaken superior technology for superior beings. This is another case of the truth that is hidden in plain view. Why don’t we make the connection? Because we were “given the mind” of the Controllers who came to conquer Earth.

The Controllers use beliefs as a way to separate you from “infinity.” Infinity is a wonderful word that “stops the mind”—the left-brain, while conveying the idea of a limitless state. The Controllers are trying to get you to live exclusively in your limited left-brain. This forces separation because it requires you to put yourself outside of all that is—outside the reality of your own creation. The left-brain is good for data storage; cataloguing, definitions, limitations, history; it is time-based, it’s linear. It is very limited in its scope, but it is good at doing certain things. Setting up a system that emphases left-brain thinking while marginalizing right-brain professions and self-realization techniques (such as psychic healing, tarot, and astrology), is an ideal way to get you to separate from nature, and to make you distrust your intuition. The left-brain-dominant system of the Matrix separates you from the “silent knowledge” of your right brain—the part of you that can receive the messages from the “spiritual”—your higher self. Through the natural flow of intuition, your higher self can inform you, guide you, and allow you to experience life in a state of bliss.

Mass consciousness is the left brain “mind prison” or the left brain beta brain wave reality. Beta brain waves is like ocean of waves that forms reality. Through self-realization it is possible to change the subconsciousness programming of brain waves and shift from center of gravity from the subjective ego to the Soul itself and to the very center of gravity within the Soul’s consciousness. Once the center of gravity shifts to the Soul knowledge and intuition no longer is controlled through the left-brain intellect, and one achieve levels of the superconsciousness or supermind. Superconsciousness does not emerge from the intellect but manifests through other faculties that are more subtle and sensitive, such as the intuition that lives in the soul and spirit.

The Superman is one whose centre of gravity is shifted from the domain of Ignorance to the domain of Truth. He is in possession of a divine Principle— the Supermind – that is illumined by the Supermind which is a pure principle of integral Truth-vision and sovereign Truth-effectuation. This is the central key and work with meditation; to release the bounds from the “knot of ignorance”. Gravity is bound to the lower self (ego) and its state of ignorance. Teaching saying; Deep sleep is the knot of ignorance; when it is removed through meditation, we can discover our true nature and eternal peace.

The Higher Mind is more developed than our ordinary mind but it is not powerful enough to sweep out all the obstacles of ignorance to realise the Gnostic or the Superconscience. The Higher Mind facilitates a first change and an ascent towards the higher consciousness as much a descent to prepare an integration of the being into a greater Force of Consciousness and Knowledge.

Meditation is the highway to this state of perfect enlightment and meditation is the route to super- consciousness. The power and science of meditation is not just yoga, it is through meditation one can build a whole new brain and may even create a new world in the future.

It is actually through meditation one building a new superhighway of the brain and it through meditation one connects all parts of the brain to a higher state of consciousness, and its through meditation one find the real Self and become self-realized.

The spiritual building process of meditation is to build by lowering, stilling, quitening the beta brain waves. The brain is building new pathways to unused brain parts of the brain when the beta brain is been stilled and lowered and this create access to new knowledge, and with it follows higher levels of intuition. The ego is building in the outer world, and the spiritual self is building within the inner world. Meditation is invisible inner spiritual work and the “higher” results of it take several of years of practice. So meditation is both a method of joy and relaxing, but also a spiritual invisible process of building new pathways in the brain through meditation. In the end meditation is also the path of salvation.

Insights (meditation) removes darkness and illuminates. Insights (meditation) manifests in the multitude of light. Insight (meditation) opens the third eye and travels through the Crown of the head. Insights (meditation) reveals the path to salvation. It brings cosmic visions. Insights (meditation) removes gravitational force of the earthly matter from the human kind and elevates the human kind to a higher platform. Reality is a panorama of infinite possibilities projecting out from the center of pure consciousness. Consciousness creates realities, and they do on different vibrational frequencies in many dimensions.

I.K. Taimni interprets this as meaning that Udana (fifth chakra) is obviously connected with gravitational pull of the earth on the body, and by controlling this particular prana it is possible to neutralise this pull. Man’s mind is not limited by his physical body, although he usually thinks it is. But it is the intellect and the ego that bind him there. The psychic body has no weight, and, therefore, gravitational forces cannot work on it.

Its though meditation one learn to go beyond the intellect and ego that binds the mind to its limitation in the three dimensional world, and to the concepts of the left brain and the beta brain wave reality. Intuition (meditation) removes the knot of ignorance and its darkness. Instinct is considered by some to be the enemy of intelligence, and intellect to be the opponent of intuition.

Its through meditation one understand that; One cannot evolve from one’s robothood until one realizes how totally one has been robotized. Its through meditation one understand that; the robotized, automatized, mechanized mind is what hides the other realities, dimensions and the real Self in robotized “darkness of ignorance”.

The veil of ignorance holds rigid structure in place that does not allow the DNA software programming and the coding structure of the DNA to actively integrate into the higher-dimensional chakra system necessary to activate aspects of the hypothalamus, medulla oblongata and pineal gland. These aspects are limited by this veil or partition. This partition is also what holds you in third-dimensional linear time (time as a past—present—future loop) and creates major restrictions to knowing yourself.

When we are forced into the left-brain by our conditioning, we find ourselves in an artificial world, like the unconscious residents of the Matrix. We are outside creation, separated by our beliefs from the natural world. The unconscious nature of our beliefs forces us to view nature as separate from ourselves; we can no longer see how we affect what we experience.

The limitations of the unnatural separation of right brain from left renders us disempowered and irresponsible at the same time. The belief system is a very convenient tool for those at the top who wish to hold others in mental slavery and emotional bondage. The Controllers who set themselves up as the gods of man have been siphoning off the creative energy of humans for eons. Beliefs are very creative. Beliefs call up the power of consciousness to transfer a potential held in the quantum soup of the implicate—unexpressed potential—over to the side of expressed consciousness—manifestation into form. Beliefs are very creative.

Beliefs call up the power of consciousness to transfer a potential held in the quantum soup of the implicate—unexpressed potential—over to the side of expressed consciousness—manifestation into form. This is why beliefs have to be questioned by every person who seriously aspires to full conscious awareness—especially if the belief did not come from one’s own experience but from our social conditioning. Another term for belief could be “limitation,” for each belief represents a ceiling to our conscious awareness, and it has to be surpassed in order to advance to the next level.

A concept is an imaginal possibility, and it can trigger a manifestation in the quantum explicate (the quantum implicate expressed as matter). This is why the Controllers need you to have beliefs: they can use you—as an unconscious creator—to create the world of their choice, full of fear and domination.

Once you “wake up” to your power, they won’t be able to use you anymore, so they really need you to accept the beliefs that they are feeding you. Left-brain dominance is very common in modem times, and it allows you to be easily dominated by outside forces. Belief defines something that doesn’t actually exist yet. A belief is a very creative thing; it is a strong, practiced thought—one that you either think over and over again, or one that you accept without question.

At some level all beliefs exist as a kind of reality, especially when you apply a strong emotion to the belief. But, until it manifests, it is just a potential reality, a parallel reality—the quantum implicate. When you get deeply into a belief, you are like the scientist who tried to objectively observe the first quantum experiment: if he thought he would see a wave, he saw a wave; if he thought he would see a particle, he would see a particle. When the scientist saw that his beliefs were affecting the outcome of his work, he finally realized that he could never be outside his experiment, because he is the creator of the reality he is witnessing.

This life we are living is based primarily on ego and emotions. As earth is a reflection of heaven, so the ego is a reflection of the real self. Therefore, in our efforts to grow beyond the earth we must attempt to overcome the level of reflection that comprises the ego and emotions.

The less distorted our mind, the more we see the world accurately, in an unfabricated way. Loss of self-awareness markedly distorts the perception of the world and blinds awareness. We are cleverly manipulated and preprogrammed for a functional life within The Matrix. The ego distorts the truth of reality.

The Earthly Life Mind is immersed in the maya-hypnotized existence, remains in ignorance, deeming himself to be a physical being. The maya-hypnotized ego creates the distortions of reality or distortions of the powers within. The first distortion-error that man has made is believing that power is outside him, the second distortion-error is made through believing in the dying nature of man, and not the undying nature of the real Self/Soul. The third error-distortion of man´s mind is not limited by his physical body, although he usually thinks it is. But it is the intellect and the ego that bind him there. The human body system and chakra system has “three knots”. These knots are found within the energetic interior of our psychic system. They are problematic because they bind us in a state of ignorance, distort everything we experience, and lock up our wisdom. These mind-errors is the mind-illusions that distorts reality. Another term for illusions is “maya” and the “dream state” of the mind is the maya-hypnotized mind.

Its through the power of meditation one removes the darkness of ignorance, change the maya-hypnotized mind and the distortion of reality.

The creator can never be outside his creation.
This is on immutable low of consciousness.
Consciousness in which our mind works as a chained slaves

⦁ Unconsciousness corresponds to the mineral kingdom
⦁ The subconscious corresponds to the vegetable kingdom
⦁ Consciousness belongs to the animal kingdom
⦁ Self-consciousness belongs to the domain of human beings
⦁ Superconsciousness to the domain of the Angels, which is also the domain of Masters, Initiates and supermen.

We start with the delta brain wave, which rests just less than 4 Hz (hertz). The black strip is its boundaries. This particular wave encases the mineral kingdom. Next we have theta, which runs at about 4 to 7 Hz and hangs out on the red strip in our chart. It’s responsible for the plant kingdom. This particular brain wave is sought after most with meditators and mystics, mainly because, with the right conditions, it’s said to open up the pineal gland. Next we have alpha, which exists between 7 to 12 Hz, or cycles, per second. We mark this symbol on the area outlined by the blue strip, and we can thank this sacred wave for the animal kingdom. We spend most of our time here in the beta state. The last brain wave is the enigmatic gamma brainwave.

The theta brain wave is sought after most with meditators and mystics, mainly because, with the right conditions, it’s said to open up the pineal gland – and the theta brain wave state is also the collective subconscious mind that holds all of the experience and human programming in the grid of the Matrix.

Alpha is the beginning of the soul level, where we create our existence, and epsilon/lambda the deep soul state; the “God” state. Beta/gamma is the ego level, where we exist and connect to the material, slow-vibrating world. The higher the brainwave state, the slower the material state. The lower the brainwave state, the faster the vibration in the material state. So a higher vibration at one end leads to a lower vibration at the other end—this is simply the Law of Balance in action. The Law of Balance is one of the physical universe’s most powerful laws.

It is interesting that the Epsilon frequency is also associated with very similar states of being. With the advancement of brainwave research it has been found that these frequencies co-exist. The Hyper-Gamma, Lambda and Epsilon frequencies are linked together in a circular relationship” when the brain exhibits the higher frequencies, you will also find Epsilon folded into the frequency and vice-versa. This interesting relationship is one that requires further investigation. During the sounding exercises your brainwaves may well slow to between 3 and 12 hz and there may even be times when Epsilon, Gamma and Hyper-Gamma frequencies are present, especially if you are experiencing bursts of pre-cognition.

The subconscious is the middle layer of the mind and represents the communication link between the conscious and unconscious.

The Alpha Level of your mind is the key. You can reach this level by a very simple guided meditation. At this level you will be in touch with your subconscious mind and you will be able to access all the wonderful powers hidden there, waiting to be unleashed.

In scientific terms, you reach the frequency levels where you go deeper and deeper in the subconscious mind from beta, to alpha, then to to theta and delta and the epsilon brain wave.

YOGA – The teaching of yoga is that one must neutralize the opposites of duality (gravity)

LEVITATION – The ability to neutralize the forces of gravity and thereby float on air.

MEDITATION – “Is the emptying of ourselves of all that hinders the creative force from rising along the natural channels of our physical bodies to be disseminated through the sensitive spiritual centers in our physical bodies. ‘Is attuning our mental and physical bodies to their spiritual source.

The hypnosis dormant in ones subconscious is what leads to death. The human mind has become intoxicated by the idea of death (that is what controls the physical life and the concept of duality). In reality death does not exist.

The nonenclosed mind, a mind without any gravitational pull of the ego, a mind which is not centred within itself, and then the mass consciousness is attached to itself (to the collective ego) it is centered to mass-consciousness and therefore have gravitational pull. Its the subconsciousness that holds this gravitational pull.

Just as a stone thrown in the air is destined to fall by the law of gravity, a form of gravity also exists in the consciousness. It is this gravity that weighs down our unlimited thought processes with an accumulation of institutional, scientific and social teachings throughout your lifetime that moulds your thought processes into limitation. It is this gravity of thought that permits illness, death, and reincarnation to occur. It is possible to elevate oneself above the gravity of the collective consciousness, and by overcome gravity one create longvity.

Spiritual teachers learn that Man can overcome death

Mass consciousness believing in the dying nature of man, not the undying nature of man. Mass consciousness controls reality and perception of the dying nature of man, not the reality that is beyond time, space, duality and the sixth sense-perception and intuition.

“When a man can identify himself with his undying nature, which is one with God, then he overcomes death”. What Man on Earth has learned is to identify himslef with his dying nature of the body and ego, not the undying and Immortal Self/Soul. Since Man has known himself and become conscious of death, the greatest wish of all has been to become immortal. This represents the spiritual progress from the three dimensional world to the fifth dimensional world.

The power of spiritual life to in some way overcome death. Then energy never can be destoryed just be transformed to another State, if one study frequencies from low to high, there is seven basic frequencies, and every frequency represents a level of Consciousness and dimension. When something transforms from one state to another it symbolize the transformation processs and change between the old and new state. Everything moves in cycles in this world and universe, and when one era ends a new starts growing.

The Ego identifies Life as the Body as the Source of life -and Matter is what surrounding this thought pattern as a body with a soul. The Self identifies life as Consciousness as the Source of life – and Light is the unified field thought pattern as a soul with a body. The primordial source of life energy is independent of localization as units. The energy of life is a radiance from the field of consciousness, which is the mode of the Presence of Divinity that manifests in physicality as Creation. These two perspectives creates a view where The Body is identified with Death and The Self is identified with Life. What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters, compared to what lives within us. The Kingdom is within. The Pathways holds the keys to all the portals of the universe. When we reach inside our hearts and minds, we move toward the awe-inspiring beauty and truth of the Universal life. Directed by the forces of life, we have nothing to fear when consciousness flows from within.

True Immortality, however, isn’t something that we should be searching outside of ourselves but within. One can put his name in history through a huge variety of deeds, good or bad, but a name is just an illusion, just like our identity and personality are as well. The true and only immortal element in a human is his spirit, which by impersonating different entities and expressing himself through different souls, travels through time, from one reality to another, in a never ending cycle of life and death. It is the spirit that becomes the master and the disciple, the king and the slave, the man and the woman, the strong and the weak, the loved and the hated, in order to truly develop a clear perspective of self and learn to discard the ego, while expressing a contradiction inside the drama that is life. In this drama, some times he represents what he fears, and other times who imposes that fear, as well as the one that receives the most and the one that offers plenty. The conscience of self is immortal and never ceases expanding.

Regeneration in Spirit

ONCE REGRESSION IN THE service of transcendence has returned the ego to the Ground, a developmental reversal occurs: the dark night of the soul comes to an end and a period of psychic renewal commences. The period of regressive deconstruction is over and the ego enters a period of transcending reconstruction, a period that, adopting traditional terminology, this is regeneration in spirit. The developmental reversal that sets the ego on this course has been expressed in a great number of symbolic images. Included among these images are, for example, those that depict a transformation of violent waters into life-giving springs and founts, infernal fires into the flames of spiritual purification, raging winds into the breath of life, hell into purgatory, passion into resurrection, and, in general, death into new and higher life.’

In the West, a second influential coneceptions of the regenerative process is that of alchemy. It is the assumption of alchemy that universal transsubstantiation is possible, and in particular that base metals can be transubstantiated into gold and that the fallen soul can be transubstantiated into a soul that is spiritually perfect. The process by which the soul is transubstantiated is conceived differently in different alchemical systems; however, most systems agree that the process has at least the following stages.

(1) The soul is subjected to intense inner heat through the practice of rigorous ascetic disciplines.

(2) This heat gradually decomposes the soul and reduces it to prime matter—which, according to Aristotelian metaphysics, is the universal matter underlying all distinct substantial forms.

(3) Upon being desubstantialized, the soul comes under the catalytic agency of the philosopher’s stone or, as it was also called, the elixir (the power of the Ground as spirit) and begins to be reconstituted or transubstantiated. And

(4) the process of reconstitution continues until the soul reaches a state of spiritual perfection, that is, until the soul is no longer merely something that is subject to the transforming action of the philosopher’s stone but is itself the full and perfect embodiment of the philosopher’s stone. The alchemical account of regeneration, then, is one that, like our own, conceives of the regenerative process as being a period of psychospiritual reconstitution that follows upon a period of radical psychic deconstitution.

Let us first consider the general features of the regenerative process; then we can turn to some of its more specific dimensions.

  1. The calming of physico-dynamic potentials. The conflict between the egoic and nonegoic spheres that occurs during regression in the service of transcendence consists of a double action. One of these actions is an upsurge of physico-dynamic potentials which, no longer contained by original repression, break free from underlying instinctual regions and erupt into the higher, mental-egoic domain.

In this sense, regression in the service of transcendence is like a volcanic upheaval that spews highly energized materials from psychic depths into the stratosphere of consciousness. Occurring simultaneously with this upsurge of physico-dynamic potentials, however, is an equal but opposite downfall of the ego into the prepersonal unconscious, the gravitational pull of which, no longer blocked by original repression, now acts directly upon the ego. In this sense, regression in the service of transcendence is like plunging into an underlying deep, into an abyss seething with sinister forces. The violent conflict between egoic and nonegoic poles occurring during regression in the service of transcendence is therefore both an eruption of the psyche’s repressed underlife and a submersion of the ego in this underlife.

And this conflict is both of these movements at once, since the regressive return of the ego to nonegoic life is at once an explosive derepression of the latter and a precipitous collapse of the former. This eruption/submersion ordeal escalates throughout regression in the service of transcendence, since the eruption of nonegoic potentials and the submersion of the ego proceed through ever-deeper and more highly charged levels of the unconscious.

The ordeal comes to an end, or at least begins to do so, only when the most ulterior and potent levels of the unconscious have vented themselves and the ego has been pulled to the deepest of the depths. Only at this point does the conflict between the two psychic poles begin to abate and do the ego’s prospects begin to look up toward a brighter horizon. This turning point marks the end of regression in the service of transcendence and the beginning of regeneration in spirit.

It is signaled in two immediate ways: (1) the ego is released from the abysmal gravity of the Ground, and (2) the violence with which physico-dynamic potentials discharge themselves significantly diminishes.

The ego is released from the gravity of the Ground not because the power of the Ground loses any of its magnetism but rather because the ego finally reaches the bottom of the abyss, and therefore touches Ground.

The ego re-establishes contact with the point in the psyche from which the gravity of the Ground emanates. It is re-Grounded, and, consequently, it is relieved of its prior impulsion toward the Ground.

The ego continues to be affected by eruptive pulsations arising from the physico-dynamic sphere, but having completed its descent to the Ground, it is no longer subject to the lure of the deep. In the words of Nietzsche’s Zarathustra (1966), the soon-to-be overman is at last disburdened of the oppressive “spirit of gravity” and, now rooted in Dionysian depths, begins to climb toward the clear atmosphere of mountain heights.

The release of the ego from the gravity of the Ground is indicated in the disappearance of the morbid transfixions that are symptomatic of the second stage of regression in the service of transcendence. If we remember, the mental ego during this stage is vulnerable to being captured by black holes in psychic space and to falling into blank trances.

The mental ego is vulnerable in these ways because the power of the Ground, having infiltrated the egoic sphere, exerts an irresistible magnetism that commands the mental ego’s attention, arrests its activities, and holds it fast, as if in the grip of death.

The mental ego, caught in this stranglehold, panics and struggles to keep itself from being sucked under. Despite its fears, however, the mental ego is hypnotized by the power of the Ground and thus, paradoxically, is drawn toward the very thing from which it seeks to escape. Morbid transfixions such as these are symptomatic of the second stage of regression in the service of transcendence because this is a time during which the ego is open to but still unanchored in its underlying Ground.

Accordingly, the ego does not overcome its susceptibility to these transfixions until it has completed the regression to the Ground and, taking root therein, is released from the Ground’s downward gravitational pull.

When the ego is finally released from the gravity of the Ground, it also begins to be treated less violently by resurging physico-dynamic potentials. This happens in part because the most highly charged of these materials have by this time already vented themselves.

Coinciding with the ego reaching the bottom of the abyss is the discharging of the most potent strata of the prepersonal unconscious. Another reason for the decrease in violence is that physico-dynamic potentials, in discharging themselves, do not reaccumulate to authentic spiritual life. In short, what the ego had perceived as breakdowns, it begins perceiving as breakthroughs, and what it had perceived as vulnerabili-ties, it begins perceiving as emerging strengths.

This movement of spirit as it forces its way through repressions and breaks down facades is at the heart of the purgative process. Considered in this light, purgation can be seen to be a process that is similar to childbirth, since, like giving birth to a child, purgation is a process by which an emerging life breaks through resistances and is delivered into a new plane of being.

Even more closely resembling physical birth, purgation is a process that (1) unfolds by way of alternating dilations and contractions and (2) involves not only agonizing pain but also ecstatic joy.

Purgation begins with dilation. The power of the Ground forcibly opens and penetrates the egoic sphere. Now, assuming that the action of spirit has begun being affirmed, the ego responds to this dilation and penetration in a twofold way. On the one hand, since it affirms spirit, the ego eagerly invites spirit to enter the egoic sphere and assists spirit in the dilation-penetration process. This is the attitude of faith. However, despite its sincere desire for spirit, the ego is still burdened by deep-seated resistances to openness and transparency.

Hence, the ego no sooner welcomes the penetration of spirit than, in being touched intimately within itself, it is struck with visceral fear, and therefore contracts. It aborts the birthing process; it cuts short the adventure in faith. But the ego by this point realizes full well its need of spirit, and so in time it resummons courage and begins again to cooperate with the movement of spirit. Consequently, it is again dilated and penetrated, this time more widely and deeply than before. But once again, given its remaining resistances, it contracts in fear, although this time less severely than before.

And so the process unfolds. With each succeeding phase the egoic sphere is dilated more widely, penetrated more deeply, and contracts less completely than was the case in the preceding phase. By these steps of the birthing process, then, the ego becomes progressively more open and progressively less resistant to the movement of spirit.

Restricting defenses are gradually broken through, facades are gradually dismantled, rigid postures are gradually dissolved, and fears are gradually dispelled. Everything within the egoic system that encumbers the spontaneous life of spirit is gradually purged until, finally, the egoic sphere becomes fully open and transparent, a perfect vehicle-mirror of spirit.
